"We had been secretly in love with Archiving Water Ware for a while before Lotte contacted us to request a collaboration. Since we both have our studio’s in Eindhoven, this was easily arranged and quite convenient. We admire Lotte’s independent work attitude and skills. The glazing technique she developed is just so fascinating you simply cannot stop looking at it or touching it! The exact recipe of course is a company’s secret.."

Archiving Water Ware is an earthenware collection using a new method for treating ceramics with a self-developed glazing technique by Lotte de Raadt. The glazing is inspired by water and behaves unpredictable – it finds its own way and leaves intricate but beautiful and tactile structures behind. The process is designed, the outcome is left to chance.
The collection consist out of a carafe, presentation plateaus (for dry food only), cups and bowls. The special glazing is arranged on places where you touch the ware by hand. The texture of the glazing feels enjoyable and gives grip. The products are suitable for consumption and dishwasher save.
Archiving Water Ware showcases the beauty of water and stimulates a more conscious use of this precious natural resource. To celebrate and communicate (tap) water as an essential ingredient for life.
