Floris Hovers (1976) graduated in 2004 at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the ‘Atelier’ department and started his own studio in 2006.

A basic, simple approach to techniques and materials are important for Floris to communicate his vision and working method. With knowledge and intuition he always aims for a sympathetic design in which he cherishes the love for clarity and simplicity.

Floris en Vij5 know each other already since the first time they presented themselves at the Dutch Design Week Eindhoven in 2007.

The stool Wrapped is since 2009 part of the Vij5 collection, next to that Floris is part of the NewspaperWood project with the Tabloid Tables as most recent addition to the collection!
